Manchester Township Education Foundation

The MTEF was formed by a steering committee of educators, parents, and community/business members who recognized the need for a charitable foundation that could draw in new resources and support for our school district.

Officially incorporated in late 2006 as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization, the MTEF Board of Directors began work in 2007 and made their first donation to the school district—$7,000 for technology equipment—in 2008/9.

2010-11 Highlights

Awarded over $4,400 in Mini-Grants.

Donated $5,970 in technology equipment, providing interactive mobile computer tablets to each school.

Sponsored two MTHS students to attend county Art Enrichment program. 

Sponsored MTHS Peer Leadership students to attend Woodrow Wilson Public Affairs Forum at Princeton University.

Our 3rd Annual Golf Outing raised over $15,000.

Awarded $11,500 in Scholarships to 2011 graduates of MTHS.

Spring 2010

Awarded $11,500 in Scholarships to 2010 graduates of MTHS.

Our 2nd Annual Golf Outing was a huge success, raising over $13,000.

We began our first Mini-Grant cycle, awarding over $3,000 in Mini-Grants in May 2010.

Sponsored a trip for MTHS Peer Leadership students to attend Woodrow Wilson Public Policy Forum at PrincetonUniversity.

2009

MTEF sponsored a trip for MTHS Theatre Arts students to attend "Westminster Presents" theater workshop at RiderUniversity.

Our First Annual Golf Outing fundraiser at Lakewood Country Club raised over $6,000.

Awarded our first scholarships to members of the MTHS Class of 2009.

'Dining to Donate' fundraiser at Applebee's of Manchester raised about $250.

We held our first 50/50 Raffle, raising $1300.
